Welcome back for continuing our journey into the magical world of Philosophy. Here we are venturing into a deeper and more profound section of the Vedas – the Upanishads. There are more than 200 known Upanishads and the Ishopanishad is considered one of the most prominent Upanishads that presents the understanding of Isha or Ishvara or the Absolute truth. In just 18 verses this Upanishad takes the reader through the journey from ‘what is’ to ‘what shall be’ by expounding on the actual nature of the absolute truth, the way to understand it and the ultimate destination. Meet the Instructor – Nimai Lila Das is the Head Philosophy teacher at Govardhan School of Yoga. He has been a resident of Govardhan Ecovillage(GEV) for almost a decade serving in various capacities. He is known by his students for his ability to convey complex philosophical topics in a simple to understand way using humor and metaphors. His areas of expertise include Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Mind & Meditation and Yoga Nidra. He is also a faculty in the Bhaktivedanta Vidyapitham, a traditional Vedic school at GEV teaching Srimad Bhagavatam and other Bhakti scriptures.
